Saraswati National University (SNU) was established in 1987 by an Act of Parliament as a premier central university dedicated to multidisciplinary education, research and nation-building. Named after Goddess Saraswati — the deity of knowledge — the university began with 3 faculties and 1,200 students on a 120-acre campus in Delhi NCR.
Over four decades, SNU has grown into a 450-acre smart campus serving 45,000+ students across 9 schools, 75+ departments and 350+ programmes. Key milestones include NAAC A++ accreditation (2024), NIRF Rank #28 (2025), SAMARTH ERP integration (2019), and DigiLocker/NAD partnership (2021).
